Did you know... Many professional musicians prefer instruments by Eastman Strings. The quality of Eastman Strings instruments is due to our high standards of craftsmanship and the select tonewoods we use. Bows are crafted by experts from both modern materials and traditional wood sources. Eastman Strings donates a percentage of the proceeds from ALL bow sales to the important conservation efforts of the International Pernabuco Conservation Initiative. Eastman Strings never uses cheap "ebonized" wood fittings. Instead we put quality hand-crafted fittings made of real ebony, boxwood, or rosewood on all our instruments. Samuel Eastman instruments come in a full range of sizes. Many of our instruments are available in different patterns, including our basses. The Andreas Eastman model 305 was declared "A definitive favorite" by an independent panel in STRINGS Magazine. In another review, our Cadenza bows were rated "a good value for all players" and one panelist exclaimed "Wow, for these prices, I think they are incredible." Some of the instruments that Eastman Strings distributes are made in Germany including our Albert Nebel, Rudoulf Doetsch, Wilhelm Klier, Frederich Wyss, and Rainer Leonhardt models. Our Ivan Dunov instruments are made in Romania using the prized tonewoods of the Carpathian mountains.
