Jesús Florido
Artist
Jesús Florido is a boundary-breaking violinist whose music blends classical mastery with Afro-Cuban, Indian, Arabic, Jazz, Rock, and Fiddle influences. A student of legendary mentors including Larry Shapiro, Davis Brooks, Dorothy DeLay and Joseph Gingold, he has performed worldwide—from Vienna’s Mozart Anniversary to collaborations with icons like Whitney Houston, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page.
Known for his electrifying stage presence on both acoustic and electric violins, Florido’s work spans solo albums, international tours, and recordings with artists across genres. As a passionate educator, he has led workshops in over 20 countries and serves as Artistic Director of the Liberian Youth Orchestra—the nation’s first orchestral program.
“Music has to be part of every child’s development,” he says, as he continues charting a limitless musical horizon
