Old-world craftsmanship and materials come together in our Ivan Dunov instruments. Crafted from Carpathian tonewoods, hand varnished in our workshop in Beijing, China. These instruments provide excellent sound and playability.

The varnish we use on our model 405 instruments emulates the exceptional varnishes from a century ago where a small number of master workshops in Markneukirchen, Germany distinguished themselves by developing some of the best varnishes of the modern era.

The Jonathan Li is crafted of the most select, stunning flamed maple back with a straight medium-grain spruce top. A refined, golden colored oil varnish enhances the tonal quality of this instrument. Each instrument is meticulously calibrated for optimum sound production. The fittings are boxwood with a light colored wood trim. Celli are available in Stradivari, Guarneri, Gagliano, and Montagnana patterns.
